When not to use Talafil (Cialis) for Erectile Dysfunction
Male Health Guide
Tadalafil (tadalafil) has the following contraindications:
Hypersensitivity
-patients who have hypersensitivity to tadalafil or any of the ingredients of the medicinal product should not take tadalafil. This can occur with allergic reactions ranging from a mild skin rash to severe life-threatening anaphylactic reactions.
2. Concomitant use with organic nitrates
-the combination of tadalafil with organic nitrates (e.g. nitroglycerin in the form of sublingual pills, sublingual spray, toothpaste, or isosorbide nitrate in the form of tablets, spray, etc.) Is strictly contraindicated.
-nitrates relax smooth vascular muscles, leading to a significant decrease in blood pressure. Tadalafil also has an effect on vasodilation, and the combination of both can lead to an excessive and potentially dangerous drop in blood pressure, which can result in symptoms such as dizziness, fainting and, in extreme cases, brain or heart damage.
3. Use in patients with certain severe heart disorders
-in patients with severe heart failure (class IV of the New York heart Association) where physical exercise is severely limited and symptoms are present even at rest, tadalafil is not recommended because of the hemodynamic changes it can cause and the potential risk of worsening of the cardiac state.
-it should also be avoided in patients with unstable coronary artery disease or who have had a recent acute myocardial infarction (usually in the last 3-6 months), as increased blood flow in response to tadalafil could put additional pressure on an already damaged heart and increase the risk of adverse cardiac events.
4. Use in patients with certain eye problems
-Tadalafil is contraindicated in patients with retinitis antidepressants, a degenerative eye disease that affects the retina. Although the exact mechanism of interaction is not completely clear, it is believed that tadalafil could potentially worsen visual function in these patients.
It is important for a doctor to properly evaluate a patient before prescribing tadalafil, taking into account his or her complete medical history, including pre-existing diseases and medications he is currently taking, to avoid possible risks associated with his use.
